This area can be used for a single feature on the user's chosen one or two favorite programmes. It can keep them up to date, notify/remind them of the next episode and allow them to catch up with missed episodes (e.g. with links into the programme's microsite on bbc.co.uk).
Other information, such as local weather, traffic/rail delays, search facility, etc, can be placed in similar modules. A module could even be created that reads RSS feeds from other website that the visitor chooses. This would make people's feeds available anywhere, regardless of which machine they are on or if they have an RSS aggregator or not.
